Starbound Download

Starbound is a brand new game undergoing active development by Chucklefish, an indie game company made up of a lovely group of dudes and dudettes. If you like what you see, please feel free to leave a comment or tell your friends.  We hope this blog can be an insight into the trials and tribulations of the development process, the people behind the game, and what we hope to achieve.

Starbound begins with you fleeing your homeworld in a space shuttle, just as it’s destroyed by an unknown enemy. With nothing to guide it, the escape pod shoots into space without direction, becoming hopelessly lost in a sea of stars. As luck would have it, the space shuttle touches down on a habitable planet and an adventure begins that will take you hurtling across the universe. Starbound contains both quests and story driven missions, buried inside its vast sandbox universe.

I bought Starbound a while back, and I haven’t played it for some months. I decided to boot it up and start a new world, and I played it for about 5 minutes until I found an error. When I shoot my bow, no arrows come out.

I don’t want anybody trying to tell me how to fix it, however. I need somebody to tell me how I can fully reset the game entirely as if it were new.

    Thanks!

It’s a platform game that you jump and get higher on different platforms. It’s like the game starbound. I saw a lot of people in my school playing it and I asked them what it was and they told me, but now I forget. I’m pretty sure it’s one word name and I think they said they had to download it (free) Thanks.

I really like playing Starbound, Minecraft, and Terraria on my FRIEND’S computer. That’s cause I’m not allowed to download anything on my own. So my question is, do any of you know any games like those listed above, but that doesn’t require download–or money?

    Thanks!

So a while back I bought a game called Starbounds; and one day whilst messing around with my settings I deleted my main profile. Instead of starting again I asked around if there were any programs I could use to regain my profile. There were no programs I could use but a few of my friends were suggesting downloading and using ”Cheat engine”. Being the gullible fool I was I downloaded the program. After viewing the program for a couple of minutes, a program that popped up on my desktop. It looked like it was a program I had installed on my PC, instantly with the program popping up on my desktop I was greeted with a webpage. AVG (my anti virus protection -free version-) instantly picked it up and I removed it. After doing so I thought I would rather be safe than sorry and done a full PC scan. It came up with 1 threat called ”Adward Generic_s.AX” located in my appdata file. AVG then removed the program and I then went on to check if everything was uninstalled. As I checked my programs (Start > Control panel > uninstall a program) about 80% of my programs are missing. Although they are not deleted (because I can still access them) they’re totally gone from my programs list. I then though of things that could of caused this. I then installed Malwarebytes and done a scan. at first it came up with 103 problems, they were all fixed. I then done another scan 0 problems. It’s like my programs are simply just missing from their list. If any one knows how to fix this please help. :)

I just recently got a server and it is linux SSH. It has installed on it Starbound. Starbound has recently updated and I need to update it but with the instructions provided I cannot seem to get it to work. I keep getting Errors like so:

    http://gyazo.com/4bc57a66bc1ff9b83e704917781a6bb9.png

Here are the instructions I am following:
Download Putty or another SSH client
login to your server by typing ‘ssh root@YOURSERVERIP’
Now enter your servers password when prompted
change to your starbound servers directory ‘cd /home/starbound/SteamCMD’
    Now type ‘vim ./update_starbound.sh’
On the line where you see YOURSTEAMACCOUNT and YOURSTEAMPASSWORD enter your information.
Now hit escape then hold ‘shift + :’ type ‘wq!’ then hit enter
Now you may do the following to patch your server.
    ‘cd /home/starbound/server/linux64/’
    ‘bspatch starbound_server starbound_server_patched starbound-loader.bspatch’
    ‘chmod a+x starbound_server_patched’
    ‘mv starbound_server starbound_server_org’ hit y if prompted
    ‘mv starbound_server_patched starbound_server’
Now you may follow the directions on starting your server and you’re good to go!

Hiya! I want to start a gaming channel but I kinda need some advice and stuff :)

First off, do you think anyone would watch me? I’m a 14 year old girl who plays console quite a bit but trying to play more on pc.

Also, what games do you think I should play. I’m not exactly the wealthiest person so when it comes to buying new games its really hard. The games I have right now are quite a bit of 360 games like COD, GTA, I have skyrim, Assassin’s Creed, etc.

For PC, Iiiii don’t have much. I have Amnesia: the dark descent, To The Moon, Portal 2, and er, the free to play games mostly.

And last thing, what could I do to attract people to watch? (I currently have no videos hahaha) but what could I do to get viewers and entertain them? I’m not going to go and comment repeatedly on big channels saying “oh I’m a huge fan blah blah, check out my channel.” but irk, hahaha.

My channel righty now is YouTube.com/user/ghostiely ^~^ I so far have my friends subbed :3
I also have most of the things needed to record on Xbox (I saved up and invested in an elgato) if I were to upload a video I would try to take my time in editing cause sometimes videos just turn out eh, but I don’t know what to use for PC to record. It was really hard for me to afford an elgato (I got it on sale *^*) so are there any good free recording software that can also record your mic at the same time?? ^^

I purchased a game about 5 months ago for early access and after redeeming the code a message came up after saying “Product Already Owned This Steam account already owns the product(s) associated with this activation code. Click next to proceed to installation.”
Problem is is when I click “next” which is actually “finish” NOTHING HAPPENS. It shows up in my purchases menu but how can I download it? Has anyone else had this problem? By the way the game is Starbound.

My friend and I are looking for a game to play with eachother.
Dont worry about our specs… we’re good
we are hoping for cheap or free games so we can play tonight… If it was a more expensive game itd take us a bit of looking at it for us to eventually get it.

    Games we enjoyed playing together
    -MineCraft servers and modpacks
    -Diablo 3
-Gw2(untill we got a bit in to the end game)
    -RuneScape (pre-eoc)
    -Terraria, Starbound
    -League of Legends

We like games that you can easily play with eachother and can progress our gear and that stuff.. fighting bosses is always fun

–not looking for a free mmorpg that is an awful lot like WoW– feel free to name an mmorpg if you think its worth it though—

So, i built a computer about 2 months ago and everything was great but recently ive been joining games of League Of Legends (On high resolution and graphics) and i’ll be getting 30 frames and it on average gets 150 to 200. Then i alt tab and its up again to 150 for the rest of the game, So i thought nothing of it, but yesterday it started doing that in games so i would have to constantly alt tab every 1 minute or so just to be able to get playable frames. I have seen this in League Of Legends alot and 1 or 2 times in Starbound never in Planetside 2 or World Of Warcraft. Ive had the issue with both vertical sync on and off but i usually have it off. Is this card going bad or is there another reason this started happening. Thanks!

I got this game called “Left 4 Dead 2″ on Steam from a friend and I was told its retarded… I dont really like war games at all or zombie games in that case… Anywho I want to trade it on the internet for a copy of starbound, is that possible to trade a steam game that I already own? I have not downloaded it yet :3

So I purchased Starbound today and have noticed very low frame rates while on the planets. Here are my PC specs below:

    Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 @ 2.93GHz
    2 GB RAM
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 610
Windows 7 64 Bit Operating System

I checked before hand with a torrented version and it worked fine, just a minor amount of lag. I do realise that this game is in very early stages of Beta but I was wondering if others were suffering as well.

Dont worry about our specs… we’re good
we are hoping for cheap or free games so we can play tonight… If it was a more expensive game itd take us a bit of looking at it for us to eventually get it.

    Games we enjoyed playing together
    -MineCraft servers and modpacks
    -Diablo 3
-Gw2(untill we got a bit in to the end game)
    -RuneScape (pre-eoc)
    -Terraria, Starbound
    -League of Legends

We like games that you can easily play with eachother and can progress our gear and that stuff.. fighting bosses is always fun

–not looking for a free mmorpg that is an awful lot like WoW– feel free to name an mmorpg if you think its worth it though—
_we have played path of exiles_

the person to interest us most gets best answer… thanks :)

I had an overwhelming urge to play an open-world, sandbox game. Preferable a creation game. Like a city builder or building builder, car builder etc. I really like them games. I used to play a lot of Rollercoaster Tycoon, Mall Tycoon, Transport Tycoon etc. And even, years ago, Lego Creater (now that was a good game).

However, newer games, Minecraft etc, just don’t really do it for me. I’m just wondering if anyone knows of any games like I’ve mentioned that are any good? and are available for the PC.

    Thanks :)

(by the way i used its uninstall feature but i used windowsexeallkiller to delete LMIGuardian) then i re downloaded it in the hopes it would work and i would be able to close it from there but it wouldnt show on that one so that didnt work either. and no i didnt sign up with the site i got it from cnet.

Dont worry about our specs… we’re good
we are hoping for cheap or free games so we can play tonight… If it was a more expensive game itd take us a bit of looking at it for us to eventually get it.

    Games we enjoyed playing together
    -MineCraft servers and modpacks
    -Diablo 3
-Gw2(untill we got a bit in to the end game)
    -RuneScape (pre-eoc)
    -Terraria, Starbound
    -League of Legends

We like games that you can easily play with eachother and can progress our gear and that stuff.. fighting bosses is always fun

–not looking for a free mmorpg that is an awful lot like WoW– feel free to name an mmorpg if you think its worth it though—
_we have played path of exiles_

the person to interest us most gets best answer… thanks :)

Dont worry about our specs… we’re good
we are hoping for cheap or free games so we can play tonight… If it was a more expensive game itd take us a bit of looking at it for us to eventually get it.

    Games we enjoyed playing together
    -MineCraft servers and modpacks
    -Diablo 3
-Gw2(untill we got a bit in to the end game)
    -RuneScape (pre-eoc)
    -Terraria, Starbound
    -League of Legends

We like games that you can easily play with eachother and can progress our gear and that stuff.. fighting bosses is always fun

–not looking for a free mmorpg that is an awful lot like WoW– feel free to name an mmorpg if you think its worth it though—
